At some time between 9am and 5pm on Sunday 28th February - in daylight hours - our three remaining chickens were taken from their chicken run. We have made the assumption that a predator became brave enough to carry out this act. The children were told on Monday. We will replace them when we feel that the time is right - obviously not straight away since we would be placing them in immediate danger.
