The school has recently registered with the Eco-Schools Programme.  This is an internationally run award scheme and is designed to involve as many people as possible, inside and outside of school, to raise awareness of environmental and sustainability issues.  We intend to apply for the Silver Award.

We have set up an Action Team to ensure the whole school is aware of the Eco Schools programme and take the lead in carrying out an environmental review and action plan on how we can improve these issues within our school and adopt an ECO Code

Our Action Team consists of 5 pupils (1 nominated pupil per year group), as well as a teacher, non-teacher, headteacher and governor.

Following a meeting of our Action Team we came up with the following ECO Code:

                                        Try to walk if possible

                                Use recycled materials

                                Remember to save water

                                Vegetables and fruit must be composted

                                Energy needs to be saved

                                You can make a difference !
